Delayed Isn't Denied.

Greetings Ladies and Gents!

I hope that this message finds you well, and if not, we're going to be optimistic that things will turn around sooner than later. It's pretty ironic that I just made that comment when thinking about what today's topic turned out to be. But it seems that's just how life tends to go, at times. For instance, on more occasions than not, the direction that I end up taking for my posts comes to me on the day that you actually see it land on your screen. As much as I'd love to do more preparation in the days or weeks leading up to now, the focus always finds me in the moment when I need it the most. With that said, let's get to the subject matter at hand.

Maybe it's just me, but every time that I think that the spring weather is finally about to break out and bless us with some consistent 65+ degree days, we find ourselves with what feels like a random cold front. Now it isn't something I'm crying a river about, especially since my dog son Alfred will have me out in 2 degrees just so that he can stare at the stars. I'm pretty much built for whatever Mother Nature throws my way, at this point. At the same time, some good ole fashioned days of warmth would not be the worst thing in the world, especially a few days from April. It's beginning to all feel like one big tease and spring time is having its way with our emotions.

I might just start having to call this current season that we're in a sort of "Spring Delay." Delays can be annoying, they can be inconvenient, they can be unexpected, and they can even be a relatively long time. I'm not here to cape for or champion a delay like they are my bestie, in any type of way. To put it bluntly, they really can suck at times, especially depending on what it is that you personally are waiting for in your life. But you know the very best thing about a delay? They do not last forever. Period. A delay is a concept that every one of us experiences in some type of form or fashion, and that's what makes this particular situation a relatable one.

Whether it is felt in the realm of school, your job, your fitness goals, your relationship status, your finances, or any other ventures you may be waiting for to come to fruition...the delay that's currently being experienced is not the end of the story. In fact, it's the part of the journey where you'll realize a lot of your personal growth can be taking place, if you allow it to. So what're you doing in the meantime as you're in that delay season? One could benefit from studying an essential concept, shifting your food intake, adding variety to gym routines, expanding your network via communication, and simply doing all you can to step out of your overall comfort zone. By the time you've put the work in to make these adjustments and improvements, that delay could be about to get out the way.

It's funny how me thinking about and wondering when spring time is going to be nicer to us with these temperatures brought about this deeper meaning to the waiting game. I just checked the weather app on my phone and wouldn't you know it...that warmer consistency I had been looking for is not too far off now. That's a personal reminder to myself that everything has its time and place for when it's going to happen. It's not even worth the stress in the meantime while we wait, because that isn't going to solve anything. However, it's on us to lock in and do what does depend on us so that when those delayed blessings start flowing in, we have the capacity and abilities to fully maximize them. Here's to brighter and warmer days ahead!
